Down and out drivers hope for Force India seat!
Forgive a little bit of grumpiness there. I still have not got over my last post where I was cribbing about Narain Karthiyen not being heard about in connection with Force India. Legitimate complaint, you will agree.
Anyway, the latest is that Giancarlo Fisichella is among the candidates for a Force India seat. And Ralf Schumacher. And Roldan Rodriguez. And Vitantonio Liuzzi. Nuts.
I am not saying that these people will be bad for Force India. Far from it. At least three of them have excellent experience to back them up, and the team may really benefit.
But it all comes back to the same thing - what’s the point of having a team named Force India while Narain Karthikeyan is waiting around without a drive?
Granted, I am no one to judge his suitability for the Mallya-owned team. But will someone please explain why he is driving for any team at all as far as we know?
Is he not up to the mark? Is it a financial issue? Is it his own fault, and is he targeting teams he just can’t get into? Does he have something up his sleeve?
Sometimes I am quite pissed off that India’s first and only F1 driver is just not being heard of. What is the point of constantly crying about cricket being the all-important game for India, while fans like us can’t even find out what he is up to?
Come on. I’m begging here, at least give me a good rumour about Narain.
